December 10th, 2014

Sjögren’s syndrome, a chronic autoimmune disease that causes a patient’s white blood cells to attack glands that produce moisture, affects 4 million Americans. This collaborative study, including Salivary Dysfunction Clinic Director Dr. Ibtisam Al-Hashimi, utilizes the Health Cost and Utilization Project Nationwide Inpatient Sample to add to existing data on comorbidities among Sjögren’s syndrome patients.
