Dr. Colin Bell, Class of 1979, 1984
The Texas Society of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgeons recently honored Dr. Colin Bell with the Dr. L. Jack Bolton Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery Distinguished Service Award. The award was presented during the Southwest Society of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgeons annual meeting this spring.
Bell, who is immediate past president of the American Board of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery, the specialty’s certifying board, and a past president of the Texas and regional chapters, was chosen because members felt his service embodies the spirit of the award, which recognizes lifetime dedication and outstanding contributions to the specialty. When Bell is not maintaining a private practice in Dallas or participating in organized dentistry, he can be found right back home at Texas A&M College of Dentistry, where he has served as a part-time faculty member for more than 30 years.
