Dr. David McCarley, Class of 1981

Dr. David McCarley, a 1981 alumnus who was serving as president of the Texas Dental Association, passed away Jan. 4. An active participant in organized dentistry his entire career, McCarley served as the youngest elected TDA board member starting in 1992 and as a delegate and alternate delegate for the two decades that followed.
A longtime McKinney, Texas, resident, he maintained McCarley Restorative and Cosmetic Family Dentistry there for 30 years.
A funeral mass occurred Jan. 9 at St. Gabriel the Archangel Catholic Church in McKinney. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the TDA Smiles Foundation.
