Inaugural Minutes in Motion competition culminates with staff awards, luncheon
Staff members at Texas A&M University Baylor College of Dentistry got in motion this fall with a new health and wellness initiative from the TAMBCD Resource Team. Minutes in Motion, which ran Sept. 25 through Nov. 5, encouraged college employees to increase and track their physical activity through a competition among 18 teams, each consisting of five members.
Competitors simply tracked the minutes they spent in motion each day, and those with the highest scores were declared the winners. The 90 participants spent a cumulative 317,011 minutes in motion during the six-week event.
