Miles for Smiles dental health runathon scheduled for May 2

The Sixth Annual Miles for Smiles runathon will begin at 2 p.m. on May 2 at the University of Texas at Dallas.

Proceeds from the event, a partnership between the UTD Pre-Dental Association and Texas A&M University Baylor College of Dentistry, benefit the dental school’s Social Services Fund, which coordinates subsidized care for qualifying patients.

The event will also feature live music and entertainment, as well as prizes, giveaways and refreshments for participants.

Location: University of Texas at Dallas campus – university track field

How it works: A $10 entry fee is required for runners. Those who cannot be present but would like to support the event may either make a one-time donation or pledge a specific dollar amount per mile run.
