In today’s era of evidence-based dentistry, it is crucial to make informed decisions to best benefit patients. In this paper, co-author Dr. Peter Buschang, Regents professor in orthodontics, outlines a checklist for clinicians to systematically compare studies and literature within a given topic. Criteria include the purpose of any given study, the reason for the investigation and external validity.
