Dentistry Insider Publication Guidelines

Dentistry Insider is an online publication of Texas A&M College of Dentistry and is produced in the Office of Advancement, Communications & Alumni Relations.

It is published weekly and distributed via email directly to students, faculty and staff. It is also distributed via email to alumni, friends and the general public through Dentistry Insider’s optional mailing list.

Submitting items to Dentistry Insider

To submit items to Dentistry Insider, please contact Jenny Fuentes at jfuentes@tamhsc.edu or at 214-828-8358. Alumni Class Notes may be submitted via the Class Notes submission form.

For time-sensitive submissions, please allow at least one business week prior to the event, deadline or RSVP date.

Obituaries

Dentistry Insider may publish announcements regarding the deaths of alumni and current or former staff and faculty. The Office of Advancement, Communications & Alumni Relations considers factors such as campus involvement, years of interaction with College of Dentistry students and colleagues, leadership and scope of impact when determining newsworthiness for publication.

Editorial Considerations

Items submitted to Dentistry Insider may be edited for clarity, Associated Press style and grammar. The Office of Advancement, Communications & Alumni Relations may exercise final consideration for any items to be included in Dentistry Insider, including placement and extent of coverage, especially concerning dated news items.

Photo Disclaimer

The offices of Advancement, Communications & Alumni Relations and Media Resources at Texas A&M College of Dentistry may use photographs or video taken during on- and off-campus events in news stories, on the web, in university publications and other publicly disseminated promotional materials. If you prefer not to be included, simply inform the photographer/videographer at the time images are taken. The College of Dentistry adheres to the Health Insurance Portability and Accountability Act; therefore images taken in which patients are identifiable will not be published without written patient consent.
