Commencement 2023
More than 160 graduates were celebrated during the 2023 Texas A&M School of Dentistry commencement ceremony May 26.
Twenty-nine dental hygiene students, 104 dental students and 36 graduate students received their degrees to the cheers of family and friends at the Margot and Bill Winspear Opera House in Dallas.
Teachers of the Year Professor Leah Spittle and Dr. Matthew Kesterke led the processional, and top scholars were presented academic awards during the ceremony.
Dr. Yara Qubti, class president, said she and her classmates were privileged to be joining an incredible profession.
“Dentistry has given us the tools to serve our communities, better the lives and the health of our patients, and give back to those around us,” she said. “I beam at the thought of all the lives that each of you will touch throughout your careers.”
